6/27/2010 — Just wanted to let the fans know about two New York City gigs with EP's groove trio which features EP, Jerry Z on Organ and Duane "Cook" Broadnax. The gigs are in midtown Manhattan on July 9th and August 4th. Both gigs are at 12:30-1:45pm Come on out if you are around!
3/11/2010 — New things for 2010:New CD, and EP's first European tour! He brought Meta-Four over for one festival performance in 2002, this time he will be touring in Belgium/Holland. "Im excited to reach a new audience in Europe" says Eric. He has toured Europe with Dave Holland, Chico Hamilton, Ronald Shannon Jackson, Chris Joris and many others, but now is the time for his Meta music to capture the imagination of the European audiences. 1/1/2010 — Happy 2010 to one and all Next big gig for EP is BamCafe in Brooklyn New York on February 27th. If you are in New York City at that time, come out and dig EP's new project Metamorphosis. 11/05/2009 — Thanks to all the people who came out and made EP's November 2nd gig at The Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City a hugh success! EP's rhythm and groove project "Metamorphosis" rocked the house! EP sold out the 1st show and had a total 315 people come through the Blue Notes doors. Look out for this band at the Bam Cafe on February 27th.
10/12/09 — Things are heating up-Eric Person & Metamorphosis are coming back to the Blue Note Jazz Club in NYC on November 2nd. Last years packed performance at the world famous club was a highlight of Eric's gig's in 2008. Don't miss this one!! Monday's at the Blue Note are affordable, and the music is going to be great. EP's latest version of this new funky, soulful, exploratative band will knock your socks off!! Come on out!!!
6/9/09 — Look out for the Fall touring campaign, EP will hit the road in the midwest, southwest and west coast. He will also release his new CD so stay tuned!
4/28/09 — The last two months for EP's music has been wonderful, The last performance in Rochester NY was the top of the heap. The "Person to Person" project with saxophonist Houston Person turned everyone out in upstate New York! There will be other gigs in the near future, Houston and Eric promise that. Stay tuned.
3/23/09 — Hello, just want everyone to know that EP will be hitting the road again with his projects starting this month. With great hits coming up in Topeka Kansas, Rochester New York and Los Angeles. Look out for some big things for the Fall and into 2010, like a new CD release!! Stay tuned!!
1/5/09 — Happy New Year! Big things in the works here. After a year where he focused on starting a new electric/groove project, much recording, touring with the legendary Bootsy Collins, and percussionist Chris Joris, EP is ready to rock & roll in 2009! He's looking to release a new CD this year, re-release his fourth CD "Extra Pressure" with new mix/mastering, and release the long awated CD by Moon Pool. That's a collective with drummer Jim Payne, bassist Gene Torres and pianist Marc Purchelli. EP just can't seem to stop! Please check out some of his dynamic music while you are here!

11/19/08 — On Monday nite, EP and his new band Metamorphosis lit up the Blue Note! Almost 300 people filled the club for the two sets. They heard all new compositions performed by EP's new electric-rhythm-and-groove project. From note one, it was on! The band went into the studio the next day and recorded nine songs, that will be on the next CD. Stay tuned...a new era in EP's music has begun. Stay tuned!!!
11/08/2008 — Next big up: On November 17th at the Blue Note Jazz Club in NYC, Eric will premiere his new project Metamorphosis. It's a five piece all-electric band which will delve into a totally fresh direction that will showcase funk, rock, and rhythmic groove soundscapes. "I have not formed a new band in 10 years, but now's the time. I'm so excited" says Person. So come on out to this big event!
8/2/08 — Yesterday Meta-Four ventured up to Tarrytown, NY and played a great gig for the folks that had the fortune to be at pierson Park. EP and the band is gearing up for something good in the new year, with a new CD in the works. The next gig is November 17th at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York. Be there!
7/27/08 — Today caps a very busy period for EP. He just came back from Japan where he played the Fuji Rocks Festival with the legendary Bootsy Collins. And today he plays the Columbus Jazz and Rib Festival with his band meta-Four. This is the 2nd time EP and his band has played this festival. The first time their performance started off perfect, but 20 minutes in a torrential rain storm hit and cancelled the performance and the rest of the festival. We predict perfect weather and a great performance. Stay tuned to this website, cause big gigs in New York and the rest of the USA is coming your way this Fall.
6/20/08 — It's touring time again. EP just came back from successful performances with Belgium percussionist Chris Joris in Brussels and Liege. Now he takes off for the first performaces with the James Brown Tribute Tour which stars Bootsy Collins. That tour hits spots in the USA, Europe and Japan. A full USA comes in the Fall. EP will do performances with his band Meta-Four in the USA next month, August and November. Stay tuned

EP's song "Undercurrents" from his third CD, More Tales to Tale was synced up to the video. It's a concept video. 4/14/08 — Things are heating up! EP is gearing up to go on the road with the James Brown Trubute Tour. He will be featured with three groups on the show including the legendary Bootsy Collins. The tour will make it aound the USA, Canada, Europe and Japan. In addition to the JB Tribute Tour, EP will do gigs in Europe this Summer and Fall with Belgium Percussionist Chris Joris, and in the USA with his own band Meta-Four. 3/5/08 — Looking ahead-Meta-Four introduced it's newest member, drummer Brandon Lewis at the bands latest performance at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania. It was a fantastic gig, and the band looks forward to upcoming gigs throughout the Summer and Fall. EP hopes to get the band in the studio sometime in the Fall. The goal is to record the new songs that will be added to the bands " Music book." Stay tuned. EP will be adding Video and Live performance clips to this page very soon.

11/6/2007 — Home sweet home! EP and Meta-Four just came off the road after completing a 4 week USA tour. They band was touring in support of their new CD, Rhythm Edge. The tour had successful stops in Indianapolis, St.Louis, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Santa Fe and other stops. The band also continued their masteclass activities at colleges and universities across the country. Fans are digging the new CD and the powerful Live performances. The band is looking toward more gigs across the USA next year. Stay tuned!!
10/16/2007 — The great Meta-Four Rhythm Edge USA Tour of 2007 rolls on and we are having a ball. Although it's not all fun and games, the music always saves us. The tour started in Louisville, then we hit Indianapolis, Detroit, Chicago, St.Louis and Kansas City. We have also been doing many masteclasses, where we are able to connect with the young music students. Our tours keep getting bigger, and the fans and friends we are making make it all worth while. Keep tuning in!

820/2007 — The word for today is: WOW!!! EP and Meta-Four put on a fantastic show last night. The band celebrated their new CD "Rhythm Edge" with an out of this world performance at NYC's Joe's Pub. They played only songs that are on the new release. The audiece knew it was a special performance and bought many CDs to show their appreciation. The CD features 15 of some EP's best compositions and arrangements. The links to buy the CD will be up in a few days. Come back again.
8/5/2007 — Joe's IS the place to be on August 18th. 9:30pm. It's the "Rhythm Edge" CD release concert. Those in or around New York City, please come out and support the band, and hear cuts that will be on the new CD, and get your copy too! EP considers Rhythm Edge a big step in Meta-Four's development, and thinks it's a fantastic CD. Come on out!!!!

7/9/2007 — Hitting the road! This year continues the busy touring schedule for EP that started back in 2006. He just got back from a wonderful performance at the Detroit Institute of the Arts with legendary singer Little Jimmy Scott. Now this week he heads back to Belgium to perform with percussionist Chris Joris. The touring will be getting heavier in October and November. First with Meta-Four's USA tour, and then back to Europe with Chris Joris. Big fun indeed!!
